Resume

I build engineering organisations that make complex things work. My background is technical, my focus is people and systems, and I care about both craft and outcomes. I shape how teams work, how systems are built, and how organisations scale.

Enpal

SVP Software Engineering

Previously Director Engineering (to 2023), VP Engineering (to 2025)

Enpal is Germany's market leader for residential energy solutions — solar, heat pumps, and home batteries with 120,000+ installed systems. I lead engineering across customer acquisition, operational workforce enablement, hardware installation, and customer experience, with a €30M budget and 200 FTE.

  • Scaled engineering capacity to support 4× installation growth, from 1,000 to 4,000 systems per month, through team scaling, architectural investment, and domain-aligned ownership.
  • Led organisation-wide AI adoption, launching an AI Enablement team for shared tooling and converting the first teams to fully agentic engineering workflows. 80% adoption of AI tooling.
  • Established domain-driven architecture with clear team ownership, enabling independent roadmap planning and faster decision-making across business-aligned domains.
  • Responsible for ISO 27001 certification and KRITIS compliance, preparing Enpal as a certified critical energy infrastructure operator and meeting regulatory requirements for business continuity.
  • Built operational resilience through multi-zone infrastructure, disaster recovery runbooks, and an on-call culture across teams — underpinning a 99.9% uptime SLA for business-critical systems.
