Enpal is Germany's market leader for residential energy solutions — solar, heat pumps, and home batteries with 120,000+ installed systems. I lead engineering across customer acquisition, operational workforce enablement, hardware installation, and customer experience, with a €30M budget and 200 FTE.

• Scaled engineering capacity to support 4× installation growth, from 1,000 to 4,000 systems per month, through team scaling, architectural investment, and domain-aligned ownership.
• Led organisation-wide AI change management, launching an AI Enablement team for shared tooling and converting the first teams to fully agentic engineering workflows. 80% adoption of AI tooling.
• Established domain-driven architecture with clear team ownership, reorganising engineering around business-aligned domains to enable independent decision-making and faster delivery.
• Built the people infrastructure for a scaling engineering organisation. Overhauled hiring frameworks including interview processes, pools, and criteria; introduced a career framework and performance management cycle.
• Established Enpal's engineering foundation for KRITIS compliance as a certified critical energy infrastructure operator, ensuring business continuity for a regulated energy system.

Corporate start-up of the Elia Group, building an energy data platform connecting distributed devices: EVs, solar PV, batteries, heat pumps. Built and led a team of five, focused on finding product-market fit within a corporate context. Closed partnerships with Octopus Energy and E.ON. Deliberately avoided over-investing in engineering ahead of validated demand.

B2B SaaS platform for business travel — planning, booking, and expensing. First chat-based booking UX in the EU. Backed by Global Founders Capital, Rockaway, Kima Ventures, and 500 Startups. Served 250+ enterprises.

Led engineering from seed through Series B, supporting €7M raised across rounds. Built and grew a distributed team from 5 to 20 engineers across Hamburg and Bucharest. Delivered end-to-end expense management, including PSD2 compliance for all travel bookings. Systematically automated operational workflows. Grew revenue from €8K to €30K MRR.

Early-stage travel tech start-up. Built the product from scratch as founding engineer. Wrote software, owned cloud, architecture, and stack choices end to end. Hired and grew a small team as the company scaled. Grew from €0 to €35K MRR.

Startup accelerator program. Acted as sparring partner to 10 CTOs across two cohorts. Troubleshooting technical decisions, running the CTO braintrust, and supporting architecture reviews and development methodology.

Maintainability analysis for the ITER experimental nuclear fusion reactor, using virtual reality with haptic simulation to evaluate remote maintenance scenarios before building expensive physical components. Co-authored two papers.
